Seeking franchise owners for "Hokkahokka-tei"
Hokkahokka-tei, a pioneer in the take-out bento business, will soon celebrate its 50th anniversary. Its warm, handmade, and delicious bento boxes have been loved by many customers across generations and regions. While some stores are state-of-the-art with attached laundromats, others are small, traditional shops. All stores adhere to Hokkahokka-tei's philosophy, continuing to provide freshly made, delicious bento boxes. We are currently seeking franchise owners to take over and operate our directly managed stores (headquarters-operated stores), primarily in the Kansai region.
Estimated Startup Cost:Up to ¥5,000,000
Industry:Food & Beverage/Delivery
Hokkahokka-tei has gained high recognition for its delicious bento boxes, including its signature items "Nori-bento," "Karaage-bento," and "Torimeshi," as well as seasonal menus using fresh ingredients. By preparing and cooking the food in-store using domestically produced rice and safe and secure ingredients, they deliver the delicious taste of freshly made food. Recent new stores have adopted open kitchens, allowing customers to enjoy the cooking process. Takeout, mainly bento boxes, has established a solid demand and is expected to remain stable in the future.
Since you'll be taking over an existing store, the initial costs are clear. If you take over a directly managed store (a store operated by headquarters), you can operate as a franchisee by renting the store equipment (FCL system), resulting in a nearly uniform initial cost (from 2.37 million yen) regardless of whether the store is new or old.
(FCL is for a maximum of 8 years, with the assumption of transitioning to a buyout-type franchise within 8 years.)
We encourage you to effectively utilize this low initial investment to improve your skills as an owner and aim for multi-store expansion.
A chef's license is not required, and even without experience in the food service industry, we will support you in becoming an owner through Hokkahokka-tei's original training program. While the bento (boxed lunch) business has the advantages of high stability and long-term sustainability, it is also a low-margin business. We will provide store management know-how, including methods for increasing sales to secure profits and meticulous cost management.
If you are 50 years of age or older, careful consideration is necessary due to the nature of the business, so please feel free to contact us for a consultation.
