[Perfect for a side hustle] Join our reuse business buying old machinery and equipment from factories! [Make the most of your spare time!] *Those familiar with factory work or manufacturing are welcome.
The number of factories going bankrupt due to a lack of successors and the impact of COVID-19 is increasing.
Why not join our business of buying machinery and equipment from such factories?
No prior knowledge of manufacturing or machinery is required. Those with experience working in metal processing factories will be immediately valuable.
You don't need trucks or crane trucks for transportation.
You simply visit factories that have inquired with headquarters, photograph and list the machinery to be purchased, and headquarters handles the appraisal.
All you need is a driver's license to get started. (A secondhand goods dealer license is not required.)
Estimated Startup Cost:Up to ¥1,000,000
Industry:Various Services
The headquarters handles the removal of machinery weighing 2 or 3 tons. My main job is conducting on-site surveys of our clients' factories.
Assessment and removal are entirely handled by headquarters. Franchisees are only responsible for customer negotiations and supervising the removal process.
Because it's a niche business, there's very little competition in the franchise market.
Manuals and training are provided free of charge. Although it says 10,000 yen, the actual cost is 0 yen.
There's a significant difference in income depending on whether you primarily work with clients introduced by headquarters or clients you find independently.
Initially, focus on projects introduced by headquarters, and once you're comfortable, try to find clients on your own.
[For projects introduced by headquarters]
For clients introduced by headquarters, you'll receive a reward of 12,000 to 16,000 yen (including tax). This varies depending on the work time. This works out to approximately 2,000 to 3,000 yen per hour.
Travel time is also included in the hourly wage. For example, if you visit a factory that's one hour away:
2 hours round trip + 1 hour at the site + 1 hour working on your home PC = 4 hours
In this case, we pay approximately 12,000 yen (3,000 yen/hour x 4 hours). (We also cover highway tolls if the distance is over 50km or if highway use is required.)
This can be started like a part-time job.
[For deals you find yourself]
If you find a deal yourself, you will receive 50% of the commission. (For example, if sales are 800,000 yen and profit is 200,000 yen, your commission would be 100,000 yen.)
Even if you do it part-time (2-3 one-off activities per month), if you can secure two deals with a 100,000 yen commission each, your income will be 200,000 yen per month.
There are also deals with sales of 1,000,000 yen or more and profits of around 300,000-400,000 yen; in that case, the commission would be 150,000-200,000 yen.
(※This revenue model is just an example. Revenue models may vary considerably depending on the region. It will also fluctuate depending on seasonality such as the end of the fiscal year, and changes in economic conditions due to events like COVID-19 or earthquakes.)
[Case 1] For those who want to utilize their spare time (mainly when customers are found by franchisees)
Business hours: 2-3 times a month, 4-5 hours of sales activity each time. (You can work during your free time between 8am and 5pm on weekdays. *Of course, you will need to adjust to the schedule of your clients, so it's not completely flexible.)
Number of employees: 1 or more (Initially, the president alone is sufficient)
Working hours: 15 hours/month (Additional time is needed for image processing, quotation preparation, etc.)
Monthly sales: 200,000 yen (assuming 3 visits and 2 contracts) *The closing rate is around 50%.
Expenses: 20,000 yen (gasoline, highway tolls)
Income: 180,000 yen
[Case 2] Serious commitment
